Beate van Loo-Born is a seasoned executive in financial services and data with over 20 years of experience in European, Asian, and US financial centers. driven by a relentless pursuit of creating global positive impact. Throughout her career, she has held leadership roles at top-tier organizations, including serving as COO of the Swiss Stock Exchange’s data business (SIX), as Head Strategic Programs at UBS, and COO at Climate Arc.
Driven by the relentless pursuit of creating global positive impact for organizations, people, and the planet, she has integrated her deep expertise in sustainability, finance, and data to consistently deliver strategic solutions driving global transformation in both large corporations and emerging startups. Believing in the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, she is a strong ecosystem builder bringing together diverse groups across teams, geographies, and industries.
In her pursuit of clarity, Beate has acquired multiple post-graduate degrees, including a Master’s in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge, an MBA from the Sorbonne, and an executive MBA from the Swiss Finance Institute. Currently a PhD candidate at the University of Antwerp, she continues to explore the levers financial services can utilize to mobilize private capital towards climate finance.

She leads various industry groups enabling women and sustainability data experts in particular (Women Data Professionals, ESG Enterprise Data Management Council) and sits on the board of a domestic abuse charity in the UK (First Light).
